Welcome to Mrs. Frey's homepage!
I teach Junior High PE and Health at Komarek School. I also coach girls' and boys' volleyball. I have been associated in some way with Komarek School for 17 years! Both of my daughters went through Komarek from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Before becoming a full-time part of the Komarek team, I served as a substitute teacher for 2 years.
I became a teacher in 2004, after working for 13 years as a Certified Athletic Trainer. I have a BS from UIC in Physical Education and my MS from UIC in Exercise Science. My teaching certificate is from Northeastern Illinois University. I have a passion for health and fitness which I try to model and pass along to my students at Komarek.
I live in the Komarek neighborhood with my husband (a teacher at RB) and my dog, Blue, and my cat, Rascal, and on any given day, when the temperature is above 25 degrees, you may see me outside running with my dog! I have two daughters in college at this time! Megan is in her 4th year at Georgia Southern University, studying Recreation Therapy, while Amy is in her 2nd year at Penn State University, studying Economics and Political Science.
