Breakfast and Lunch Available to all Students at No Cost
for the 2021-2022 School Year
Parent letter emailed August 12, 2021
Dear Komarek families,
We are pleased to announce that the USDA is extending the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Program through June 22, 2022. This means that Komarek will be offering breakfast and lunch to all students regardless of income at no cost. The SSO allows schools to receive reimbursement at rates that cover the cost of the meals being served. There is no need to complete a waiver form to receive lunch and breakfast this school year. Milk is included as part of the meal. If students wish to purchase additional milk or a milk for lunch they have brought from home, there is a .40¢ charge. If you are new to Komarek and your child will be purchasing additional milk, there are directions to set this up on the Breakfast & Lunch page on our website (www.komarekschool.org)
Waiver options are still available if you feel your family meets the income criteria to exempt you from paying registration fees. Waiver forms are available on the Komarek website under the Parent tab, click on the Breakfast & Lunch dropdown. Please complete waiver forms with proof of income and submit to the Komarek Business Office.
If you currently have a credit balance on your mealtime account, you will receive an email with the statement at the end of September. If you have a credit, you can maintain the credit balance for the purchase of milk, apply the balance to various fees, or request a full refund.
Questions should be directed to the Business Office at (708) 447-8030 Extension 109 or 124.
Sincerely,
Kathy Gibson
Business Manager, Komarek School District 94
